A sea of steel gray and gold flooded the Fremont Street Experience as thousands of fans turned out for the Golden Knights’ fan fest Sunday afternoon. This was the NHL team’s first fan fest.
Fans crammed against metal barricades Sunday afternoon as Golden Knights players walked a red carpet underneath the Fremont Street Experience canopy. Players made frequent stops to sign autographs and take photos with fans.
In addition to all the team memebers, special guests appearing on the center stage were: Vegas Golden Knights Owner Bill Foley, Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz, Head Coach Gerard Gallant, the D Las Vegas’ CEO Derek Stevens.
The team’s mascot, a Gila monster named Chance, cruised above the Fremont Street crowd on a zip line.
The boom of drums echoed throughout the canopy as fans let out wave after wave of roaring “Go, Knights, go!”
As of today, the Golden Knights sit atop the Western Conference with a 29-10-3 record, second-best in the NHL.
