"We are excited to present the 2019 Chinese New Year, Year of the Pig display.
Beginning at the South Bed, this is a representation of the grounds at the Temple of the Six Banyan Trees.
The main feature of the temple grounds is the flower pagoda, closely guarded by two Chinese Fu Dogs. Chinese Fu Dogs are a feng shui protection symbol. Moving on to the East Bed, you will see a grand pavilion composed of simulated jade adorned with gilded accents. The precious stone symbolizes six virtues in Asian culture: Benevolence. Righteousness. Wisdom. Bravery.
Honesty. Cleanliness.
The North Bed features a replica of the Golden Lotus Statue of Macau in celebration of their 20th year of independence. On either side of the statue stands Chinese lions representing strength and stability.
Lastly, the West Bed represents the Year of the Pig. Eight piglets surround a mother and father pig, a lucky number for this year. Two majestic cherry blossom trees flank the bed. The cherry blossom flower is associated with female beauty, power and strength. We hope you enjoy 2019 Chinese New Year, Year of the Pig."
