The Quechee Gorge is located in Quechee, Vermont.
The gorge is 165 feet deep and can be viewed from the U.S. Route 4 bridge and from trails on both sides of the gorge.
The Ottauquechee River flows through the bottom of the gorge and is a popular whitewater kayak run. The river is 41.4-mile-long (66.6 km). It is a tributary of the Connecticut River, which flows to Long Island Sound.
During the visit, the autumn foliage was reaching its peak, with layered, various shades of red, yellow, purple, black, orange, pink, magenta, blue and brown. It's nature at it's best!
