So basically Walmart is abruptly closing 63 Sam's Club stores and laying off thousands of workers in order to fight against e commerce businesses, especially super giants like amazon, ali baba, and even up and coming like shopify. Even etsy recently changed its business plan from being a quasi mom and pops website into supporting its biggest sellers who have white labels or private labels and their own companies. They are trying to be more like amazon as well. If you are affected, call your managers right now. You can get another job at the distribution center if you are one of the 10 stores making the transition. If you are not in a ecomerce distribution Sams club, call your manager, tweet at Sams and Walmarts twitter demanding some kind of compensation. In the meantime, apply for jobs right now. I would also go for ecommerce as well. Do what Walmart and Sams are doing on your own. While working, you should be your own boss online. Good luck and KEEP your HEAD IN THE GAME! Much love.
